
TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian Under-17 National Football Team, or Indonesian U-17 National Team, has officially been placed in Group H in the final round of the 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup alongside Brazil, Honduras, and Zambia. This was the result of the draw announced by FIFA in the early hours of Monday, May 26, 2025.
The result poses a challenge for the Young Garudas, considering that they will face the four-time U-17 World Cup champions Brazil, who hold the second most titles after Nigeria (5). Meanwhile, both Honduras and Zambia will make their debut in the final round of the 2025 U-17 World Cup when the tournament is held in Qatar from November 3-27.
The defending champion Germany, who lifted their first U-17 World Cup trophy two years ago at Manahan Stadium, Solo, will face Colombia, North Korea, and El Salvador in Group G. Meanwhile, the runner-up from two years ago, France, is in Group K alongside Chile, Canada, and Uganda.
The 2025 U-17 World Cup will feature a new format with an increased number of participants from 24 to 48 teams. The tournament will take place in Qatar from November 3-27, 2025.
The 48 teams will compete in a series of matches held at eight modern stadiums in the Aspire Zone complex, Doha, Qatar, before the final match is played at Khalifa International Stadium.
