'Adolescence' Could Return for Season 2 as Creators Tease Fresh Direction

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The series Adolescence has become a major hit since its Netflix debut on March 13, 2025. With over 114 million views, it has quickly risen to become one of the most popular English-language series.

According to SheKnows, Stephen Graham and Jack Throne, the creators of the show, had previously stated that the final episode of Adolescence might mark the end of the series, with no plans for a continuation.

However, recent reports suggest that Brad Pitt’s company, Plan B Entertainment, is now exploring the possibility of a second season.

Synopsis of 'Adolescence'

Adolescence is a psychological crime series from the UK that tells the story of Jamie Miller, a 13-year-old teenager who is arrested for suspected involvement in the brutal murder of his classmate, Katie Leonard.

This incident shakes the Miller family and triggers a deep investigation by Detective Inspector Luke Bascombe and forensic psychologist Briony Ariston.

Jamie, who was previously known as an ordinary child without major problems, undergoes drastic changes in the months leading up to the incident. In the investigation, it was found that Jamie had been exposed to an online community that taught misogynistic and extreme ideology.

During the investigation, they found that not only Jamie, but also many other teenagers had fallen into similar ideologies.
