President Prabowo to Attend Danantara Townhall Meeting with SOEs

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to attend a Town Hall Meeting with State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) at the Jakarta Convention Center on Monday, April 28, 2025, at 3:00 PM local time.

"Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to attend a Town Hall Meeting with SOEs at the Jakarta Convention Center," confirmed Yusuf Permana, Deputy of Protocol, Press, and Media of the Presidential Secretariat, in an official statement released on Monday, April 28, 2025.

Yusuf stated that the event is part of an initiative to strengthen synergy between the State-Owned Enterprise Daya Anagata Nusantara Management Agency (Danantara) and SOEs, as well as State-Owned Enterprise Business Groups, with the aim of bolstering the national investment ecosystem.

The Indonesian government has identified a list of SOEs to be included in Danantara. This list was disclosed by the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises during a closed meeting with the House of Representatives Commission VI on Wednesday, March 19, 2025.

According to documents obtained by Tempo, the SOEs incorporated into Danantara are categorized into three main groups: Limited Liability Companies (PT Persero), Public Companies (PT Persero Tbk), and Special Work Units (SKK), among others. Notably, Pertamina is among these companies.

Leaders from Danantara Indonesia met with the board of directors and commissioners of PT Pertamina (Persero) on Wednesday, April 24, 2025. Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani shared on Instagram that Pertamina CEO Simon Aloysius Mantiri and Chief Commissioner Mochamad Iriawan were present at the meeting.

"Pertamina presented improved business and financial performance, thus maintaining its contribution to state revenue," Rosan stated, as quoted by Tempo from his Instagram post (@roesanroeslani) on Saturday, April 26, 2025.

Rosan also expressed Danantara's commitment to enhancing synergies and Pertamina's strategic role, "in order to ensure energy accessibility and resilience in the future."

Information released via the official Instagram account @danantara.indonesia revealed that discussions during the meeting focused on Pertamina's transformation since 2021 and its performance achievements.

Currently, Pertamina comprises six sub-holdings and 260 entities, and it contributes over Rp300 trillion annually to state revenue, primarily through taxes, dividends, and other sources. The meeting also addressed Pertamina's strategic role in the global energy transition.

Danantara Indonesia, as the official manager of state-owned enterprises, is committed to driving the growth of globally competitive SOEs through a professional, transparent, and accountable approach.

"In the future, Pertamina will employ a dual growth strategy designed to strengthen Indonesia's energy resilience and support the energy transition, including enhancing domestic oil and gas production, digitalizing services, and improving the biofuel mix," Danantara stated in its official Instagram post on Saturday, April 26, 2025.
