TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Nusantara Capital City (IKN) claims that the company from the United Arab Emirates, Ayedh Dejem Group, is committed to investing in Indonesia's new capital city. The Head of IKN Authority, Basuki Hadimuljono, stated that the Dejem Group is interested in investing in a 10-hectare plot. The company plans to build a shopping center and a mixed-use area.
"We welcome Dejem Group's intention to invest, as it aligns with our vision of developing IKN as a sustainable city," said Basuki in an official statement on Thursday, May 15, 2025. "I need to make it clear that now is the right time to invest in IKN."
Previously, Basuki had met with the delegation from Ayedh Dejem Group, led by Chairperson Ayedh Dejem, on May 8, 2025. The investment interest was then followed up through the signing of a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) by the Deputy of Financing and Investment of IKN Authority, Agung Wicaksono, and the CEO of Dejem Group, Zed Ayesh, in the presence of Basuki Hadimuljono. After signing the NDA, Basuki then invited the Dejem Group delegation to review the designated investment location.
Zed Ayesh stated that investing in IKN is not only a business decision but also a contribution from the company in building a center of civilization. Aside from building a shopping center and mixed-use area, Zed Ayesh mentioned that Dejem Group will acquire an additional 4-hectare plot of land. Two hectares will be allocated for mosque construction to support the social and spiritual life of the IKN community.
"We hope this collaboration marks the beginning of our long-term journey in Indonesia," said Zed Ayesh.
