TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Ahead of the release of their fifth studio album, ARIRANG, BTS has introduced a unique way to greet their fans, ARMY. Along with Spotify, BTS has launched an interactive experience titled "Decoding ARIRANG," a digital mission inviting ARMY to celebrate the long-awaited comeback.
As part of their extensive SWIMSIDE-themed campaign, this experience is designed to connect fans with BTS's latest music and the creative journey behind the ARIRANG album. What's interesting is that this experience is not only available through digital platforms but will also be expanded through immersive pop-ups in selected cities worldwide.
Countdown to BTS's New Album Release
Starting on March 13, "Decoding ARIRANG" presents a countdown to the album release with a more playful and explorative concept. BTS invites their fans not just to wait, but to go on a digital treasure hunt within the Spotify app.
In this mission, each BTS member, RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook, has hidden special fragments throughout the platform. These fragments serve as virtual keys to unlock exclusive, unreleased voice messages. These messages contain the members' personal reflections on the album's main song, SWIM, making the experience more intimate, as if ARMY is invited into BTS's creative space.
How to Participate
Participating in and having this experience is quite simple. Just make sure the Spotify app is updated and log in to your Premium account. After that, you can start exploring various BTS-related pages in the app, searching for hidden fragments, and tapping on them to unlock secret messages.
Not stopping there, each discovery can also be shared on social media, making this experience feel like an exciting collective adventure. For those who manage to collect all seven fragments, Spotify has prepared a special easter egg as an additional surprise. Interestingly, the number of fragments released each day varies, adding an element of mystery to the game. Fans can follow the official Spotify K-Pop account on Platform X to receive daily clues.
Through "Decoding ARIRANG," BTS and Spotify aim to transform the waiting period for the comeback into a lively interactive journey. It's more than just a countdown; it's an exciting experience for fans who join the "puzzle-solving" journey towards the new BTS era.
