TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Sportswear manufacturer Kelme officially launched the new Indonesian national football and futsal team jerseys on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at the North Plaza of Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK), Jakarrta.

The kits are set to be worn by the national teams starting this year.

The launch event was attended by Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) officials, including Chairman Erick Thohir, Secretary General Yunus Nusi, and Executive Committee member Arya Sinulingga. National team coach John Herdman and U-17 coach Kurniawan Dwi Yulianto were also present.

Kelme introduced multiple jersey variants, including home and away kits for the men’s and women’s teams, as well as goalkeeper jerseys. The home kit is entirely red, while the away kit is predominantly white. Goalkeepers will have green jerseys for home matches and blue for away games.

This marks Kelme’s first time supplying jerseys for both the national football and futsal teams. The company replaced Erspo as the national team’s apparel sponsor, a partnership that had been in place since January 2024.

Kelme CEO Kevin Wijaya said the away jersey draws inspiration from the traditional parang batik motif, blending heritage with a modern aesthetic. The home jersey is a nod to the 1999 national team uniform, with red and white elements reflecting national pride.

“The away jersey is inspired by the parang batik motif but developed to maintain a traditional yet modern nuance,” Wijaya said. He added that the design process involved collaboration with PSSI and several revisions to balance aesthetics and performance.

Player comfort was also a priority. Herdman contributed to selecting materials that ensure breathability, lightweight wear, and overall comfort on the field. He praised the design, noting that the batik motif on the white jersey reinforces Indonesia’s cultural identity and that the red home kit reflects the team’s strong character.

The jerseys are available in two versions: a player issue priced at approximately Rp1.45 million and a replica issue at around Rp749,000. Fans can purchase them at the launch festival at SUGBK through March 15, 2026.

The new kits will make their official debut during the FIFA Series 2026, scheduled to be held at Jakarta's Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium at the end of March.
