Marvel Drops New 'Avengers: Doomsday' Trailer at D23

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Marvel Studios unveiled a new teaser trailer for Avengers: Doomsday during a Friday showcase at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in Anaheim, California.

As reported by ABC News, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige introduced the two-minute special look on stage alongside stars Robert Downey Jr., who plays Victor von Doom/Doctor Doom, Chris Evans, and Hayley Atwell.

The teaser opens on a ruined cityscape with Pedro Pascal’s Reed Richards confronting Doctor Doom. "Victor. Did you do this?" Richards calls out in the footage, establishing a personal history between the two characters.

The trailer also features Vanessa Kirby’s Sue Storm reflecting on Doom’s past before he turned villainous. "All of you have lived stolen lives, but now you must give them back," Downey’s Doctor Doom declares in the video, delivering his line with a Latverian accent.

As detailed by Comics Beat, the footage includes brief appearances by classic X-Men cast members, including Patrick Stewart as Professor X, Ian McKellen as Magneto, and James Marsden as Cyclops.

The trailer also showcases glimpses of Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, and Letitia Wright as Shuri.

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Doomsday brings together characters from three distinct universes to face an existential threat, according to Marvel Studios.

As widely reported, Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled for theatrical release on December 18, 2026.
