Open House at Presidential Palace: Former Presidents and Party Leaders Invited to Join Prabowo's Eid Celebration

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Presidential Palace has invited former presidents and vice presidents to the Eid al-Fitr open house event of President Prabowo Subianto on Monday, March 31, 2025. Deputy of Protocol, Press, and Media at the Presidential Secretariat Yusuf Permana stated that President Prabowo's Eid al-Fitr open house is open to the public.

According to Yusuf, the public can directly come to the Presidential Palace in Central Jakarta. "We also invite former presidents and vice presidents, as well as national figures including party leaders," said Yusuf in his written statement on Sunday, March 30, 2025.

Yusuf stated that after performing the Eid al-Fitr prayer at the Istiqlal Mosque, Prabowo will directly head to the Merdeka Palace to host the open house event. "This event is a forum for President Prabowo to build relationships with state officials, ambassadors from friendly countries, national figures, and the general public," he said.

Yusuf mentioned that the open house will start at 09:00 AM. The public can enter through the main gate of the Ministry of State Secretariat, Majapahit Street, Central Jakarta.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has set 1 Syawal 1446 Hijriah or the day of Eid al-Fitr on Monday, March 31, 2025. This decision was made after a closed isbat meeting at the Auditorium Haji Mohammad Rasjidi of the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs in Central Jakarta on Saturday evening, March 29, 2025, at 07:05 PM.

"It has been agreed that 1 Syawal 1446 Hijriah or the day of Eid al-Fitr is set on Monday, March 31, 2025," said Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar during a press conference on the isbat meeting results at the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs building, Central Jakarta, on Saturday, March 29, 2025.

The isbat process began with the Seminar on the Position of Hilal Awal Syawal 1446 H at 04:30 PM until close to Maghrib. The seminar was attended by representatives of ambassadors from friendly countries, falak experts, Islamic organizations, as well as various related institutions such as LAPAN, BMKG, BRIN, and Bosscha Planetarium.
