TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Starting from May 1, 2025, all foreign tourists entering Thailand are required to fill out the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC), a digital version that replaces the old TM.6 immigration form.
Anukool Pruksanusak, the Deputy Spokesperson for the Thai Prime Minister’s Office, announced this on Saturday, April 19, 2025. He explained that the Immigration Bureau has launched a digital system for foreigners entering or leaving Thailand, called the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC).
All foreign travelers entering the kingdom by land, sea, or air must register online through http://tdac.immigration.go.th. The app version of TDAC will be released in the future.
Anukool said that foreigners can fill out the TDAC form up to three days before arriving in Thailand. "Required information includes travel documents, passport details, personal data, travel plans, accommodations in Thailand, and health status as specified by the Ministry of Public Health," he said, as reported by Nation Thailand.
Anukool emphasized that TDAC is not a visa, but a digital arrival card system developed to streamline the entry process and adhere to international standards.
How to Fill Out TDAC
- Visit the tdac.immigration.go.th website
- Fill in personal and travel data.
- Submit the form and receive a confirmation email.
- Present the confirmation document and travel documents to the immigration officer upon arrival in Thailand.
The TDAC website supports five languages: English, Chinese, Korean, Russian, and Japanese. It also provides information brochures and tutorial videos.
Additionally, the Immigration Bureau has coordinated with relevant agencies such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' E-Visa system, the Department of Disease Control's screening system, and the Ministry of Tourism and Sports' tourist fee system to ensure a smoother and more efficient entry process to Thailand
Thailand previously implemented the paper form of TM.6, but the policy was discontinued to reduce waiting time at the airport. With the digital form, the entry procedures for foreign tourists and others are expected to be simplified, cutting down on immigration processing time.
Thailand is one of the main destinations in Asia, logging more than 35.5 million tourists in 2024 alone. This year, the Thai government is targeting 40 million visitors.
