TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The first graduation of Politeknik Tempo was held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at the National Library Auditorium, Central Jakarta. A total of 26 students from the Media Production, Media Design, and International Marketing Management Study Programs were inaugurated as applied bachelors in the open senate session.
The Director of Politeknik Tempo, Shalfi Andri, is optimistic that these graduates are able to directly adapt to the working world. According to him, while these students were studying at Politeknik Tempo, they were trained to dive directly into the field through practical-based learning, industrial experience, and character strengthening.
"This graduation is tangible evidence of the campus' commitment to produce graduates who not only have academic abilities but are also ready to face the challenges of the working world," he said during his speech in Jakarta on Saturday, July 12, 2025.
Shalfi also expressed pride in the achievements of the graduates. He mentioned that most of the Politeknik Tempo students had already been employed even before officially graduated. "This is certainly evidence that, when given the right preparation, vocational graduates are able to compete and are trusted in the professional world," he said.
As the Chairperson of the Tempo Education House Foundation, Herry Hernawan, gave advice to the graduates. He cautioned that graduation is not the end of the journey, but the beginning of a new chapter in life. "So, bring this knowledge and experience to become entrepreneurs or professionals who have an impact on society," he said.
Politeknik Tempo appointed three students as the best graduates from each study program. They are Dara Dinanti Firzada with a GPA of 3.79 from Media Design, Siti Rizky Anggraeni with a GPA of 3.91 from International Marketing Management, and Salsabilla Mutiara Bilqis with a GPA of 3.95 from Media Production.
The event, attended by several executives of PT. Tempo Inti Media, was also enlivened by various entertainments. Some of them included the Betawi Dance "Sirih Kuning" and "Kembang Kipas" from the Tempo Dance Club (TeNar), as well as the screening of the "Graduates' Journey" video, depicting the students' journey from the beginning of their studies until the graduation day. Not only that, the student Aziza Andira Putri Sangaji also added a touching nuance by singing the song "Bunda" by the musician Melly Goeslaw.
Abdullah Alfa Ruhma, one of the Politeknik Tempo students, shared his experience during his college life, "This campus feels like it's our own, we can joke around, discuss, and do things towards the dreams we want to achieve," he said. The speech was concluded with the 2021 batch presenting mementos to Politeknik Tempo.
At the end of the graduation series, Politeknik Tempo officially appointed Muhammad Syifa from Media Design as the first Chairperson of the Alumni, marking the establishment of the Politeknik Tempo Alumni Association.
The inaugural open senate session was also attended by several important figures, namely the Head of LLDIKTI Region III represented by the Head of the Information System and PDDIKTI Task Force, Wiji Murdoko, and the Chairman of the Indonesian Private Polytechnic Association (PELITA) Dendi Pratama.
