TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Heavy rain fell across the South Jakarta area from noon until late afternoon on Thursday, October 30, 2025. As a direct result of the downpour, at least 27 neighborhood units (RT) in South Jakarta were affected by floods.
As of 5:00 PM local time today, the Jakarta Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) recorded water inundation in several sub-districts. "The BPBD noted that there are currently 27 RTs affected," said Muhammad Yohan, Head of the Data and Information Center for Jakarta BPBD, on Thursday.
Yohan stated that the flooding was primarily caused by the overflow of the Krukut and Mampang Rivers. He urged residents to remain vigilant: "The Jakarta BPBD calls on the public to continue to be cautious and alert to the potential inundation."
Here are the flood points in South Jakarta on Thursday afternoon, October 30, 2025:
- Cilandak Barat Sub-district: 1 RT
Water Level: 80 centimeters

- Bangka Sub-district: 1 RT
Water Level: 110 centimeters
Cause: High rainfall and overflow of Kali Mampang
- Petogogan Sub-district: 25 RT

Flood Mitigation and Emergency Response
The BPBD has implemented several steps to mitigate the water overflow across the capital's affected areas. These include coordinating with the Jakarta Water Resources Agency, the Jakarta Bina Marga Agency, and the Jakarta Fire and Rescue Agency.
This coordination is aimed "to carry out the drainage of floods and ensure that the water channels function properly," Yohan explained.
Additionally, the Jakarta BPBD, along with local heads of sub-districts and districts, will prepare basic needs for flood survivors. "In emergency situations, please contact the toll-free number 112. This service is free and operates 24/7," Yohan reminded the public.
