IKN Welcomes Visitors to Dozens of Attractions During Eid Holiday

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Nusantara Capital City (IKN) Authority opens dozens of tourist destinations in the central government core zone (KIPP) to welcome an estimated tens of thousands of tourists per day during the Eid al-Fitr holiday this year.

“A number of visitor routes, strategic points, and various supporting services have been provided as part of IKN's readiness to welcome visitors, as part of the efforts to create an inclusive and widely accessible space,” said IKN Authority spokesperson Troy Pantouw in the new capital on Thursday, March 19, 2026.

The authority is welcoming tourists to come and see IKN's progress, as the region remains under construction and facility expansion.

The extended Eid holiday serves as an opportunity for the public to get a direct glimpse of the new capital. Dozens of locations within KIPP that are open for visitor experience include religious sites, offices, residential areas, and various public spaces.

“Several locations, such as the Seremoni Plaza, the PSSI building, MBH Reservoir, IKN Glamping, Sepaku Semoi Dam, Bhinneka Tunggal Ika Plaza, Kusuma Bangsa Park, the State Mosque, and various tourist spots around IKN,” said Troy, as quoted from Antara on Friday, March 20, 2026.

At some capacity, IKN is also welcoming visitors to the State Palace area, albeit not without several restrictions. Visitors are discouraged from wearing casual clothing, such as sandals—visitors must wear shoes—shorts, T-shirts, or sleeveless shirts.

Electric shuttle bus service is provided for visitors' mobility to connect various strategic points in KIPP Nusantara. This service is designed to facilitate visitors in exploring the area without having to use private vehicles while also maintaining the smooth flow of traffic within the area.

For those wishing to park their vehicles, KIPP Nusantara provides a number of parking spots spread across various strategic locations, including around the West Axis Roundabout, ASN 1 Public Housing, the left side of the Judicial Plaza Area, the East Axis Roundabout, Granthe Grandeersection or East Intersection Plaza, the south side of the Bank Indonesia Intersection, ASN 3 Public Housing at Baterai Intersection, and the exit area of the IKN State Mosque.
