TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Immigration Office Class II Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), recorded that from January to September, 27 cruise ships docked at Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai Regency, carrying a total of 23,424 tourists.

"We also recorded 33 yachts and domestic cruise ships operating during that period," said immigration head Charles Christian Mathaus, through the Head of Information Technology and Communications of Immigration, Christian Prantigo. These vessels carried 692 passengers.

"Meanwhile, in October 2025, there were five domestic yachts and cruise ships entering [Labuan Bajo], carrying a total of 1,869 passengers," Antara quoted him as saying on Monday, October 27, 2025.

Officers inspected the foreign nationals on these vessels with other agencies involved in the Customs Immigration Quarantine (CIQ). The inspection process was conducted on the cruise ships by checking the passengers' and crew members' passport documents and residence permits.

"The inspection includes checking travel documents such as passports and visas, as well as matching the identities of passengers or crew members with the ship's manifest," Christian said.

The purpose of the inspection was to ensure that the travel documents remain valid and that the visas held are appropriate, in order to prevent immigration breaches. "Throughout January-October 2025, we did not find any immigration violations," he said.

Christian urged tourists vacationing in Labuan Bajo using cruise ships to avoid violating immigration rules by ensuring their passports and visas are still valid, not abusing residence permits, and following the inspection procedures established by CIQ officers.

"We from the Immigration also urge tourists to maintain proper conduct and comply with the applicable rules while in Indonesian territory," said Christian.
