TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian carrier Pelita Air, a subsidiary of Pertamina, will launch its inaugural international flight route on August 18, 2025, as part of its service expansion.
Pelita Air's Corporate Secretary, Patria Rhamadonna, said the company will continue to transform and expand its services. "The inaugural expansion of international routes is evidence of our commitment to provide the best services and strengthen our position as a reliable and professional airline," said Patria in an official statement on Monday, August 4, 2025.
Patria emphasized that Pelita Air continues to prioritize safety standards, comfort, and the best service for all passengers in international operations. "Complete information regarding the destination and schedule of the first international route will be announced soon through the company's official channels," Patria said.
The company is confident that international flight routes will support tourism, trade, and global connectivity in Indonesia, as well as drive national economic growth.
Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina Fadjar Djoko Santoso appreciates Pelita Air's expansion move. He mentioned that Pertamina continues to promote the self-reliance and competitiveness of its subsidiaries in the energy and integrated transportation sectors.
According to him, the launching of international routes reflects Pelita Air's significant progress as part of the Pertamina Group ecosystem. "We fully support this transformation as it strengthens Pertamina's role in supporting national connectivity, opening new business opportunities, and expanding the SOE's contribution to Indonesia," said Fadjar.
