Prabowo Calls for National Unity on Eid al-Fitr 1447 H

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – President Prabowo Subianto extended his Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri greetings to all Indonesians, urging the public to use this moment of victory as a catalyst for bolstering national unity.

In his message, Prabowo opened by expressing gratitude for the opportunity for Muslims to reunite with the holy day. He conveyed his warmest congratulations on behalf of himself, his family, and the Government of the Republic of Indonesia.

"Happy Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri. We seek forgiveness for all transgressions, both physical and emotional. Let us use this Eid to forgive one another, mend our ties, and solidify our unity as one nation amid the various challenges we face," Prabowo stated in a video released by the Presidential Secretariat in Jakarta on Friday, as reported by Antara.

The President invited every Indonesian to embrace the spirit of Eid as a vital opportunity for mutual forgiveness and the strengthening of social bonds.

According to him, a sense of togetherness and unity remains the key to navigating the nation's various challenges ahead.

Prabowo also emphasized the necessity of upholding the spirit of mutual cooperation, viewing the citizenry as one big Indonesian family.

He called upon every element of society to remain dedicated to the hard work of building a more just, prosperous, and resilient nation.

"Let us continue to fortify our togetherness as one great Indonesian family. Let us work harder, support one another, and collectively build a more just, more prosperous, and stronger Indonesia," Prabowo remarked.

In closing, Prabowo expressed his hope that the community's good deeds throughout Ramadan would be accepted by Almighty God and that the Indonesian nation would continue to be graced with an abundance of blessings.
