Prosecutors: No Electric Motorcycle Confiscation in BGN Corruption Case

3 hours ago 2

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The investigators of the Attorney General's Office have named Andri Mulyono, a Commissioner of PT Yasa Artha Trimanunggal (PT YAT), as a new suspect in the case of mismanagement of the Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG). PT YAT is a vendor providing electric motorcycles to the National Nutrition Agency (BGN). In this case, the investigators did not confiscate tens of thousands of electric motorcycles distributed for the nutrition fulfillment service (SPPG/kitchen).

The Director of Investigation at the AGO for Special Crimes Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi stated that not all procurement assets need to be confiscated as evidence. "Moreover, this is a service, so we will not confiscate all the motorcycles as evidence," said Syarief in his office in South Jakarta on Friday, June 12, 2026.

According to him, the prosecutor only needs to trace the procurement process. Therefore, not all electric motorcycles need to be confiscated.

The two-wheeler vehicle procurement package is recorded in the General Procurement Plan Information System of the Government Procurement Policy Agency/Service. This procurement is recorded in the 2025 budget year. The budget ceiling value is Rp1.22 trillion with a requirement of 24,400 units. However, until the end of March 2026, the vendor could only provide 21,801 two-wheeler units.

The procurement of BGN electric motorcycles went viral after a video showed a warehouse full of motorcycles with the BGN logo. The Head of the BGN at that time, Dadan Hindayana, stated that the 21,801 electric motorcycles purchased were still in the warehouse. "Currently in the distributor's warehouse," Dadan said when confirmed on April 9, 2026.

Dadan stated that the procurement of electric motorcycles was only budgeted for the 2025 budget year. BGN did not budget the same item in 2026. The IPB University lecturer explained that electric motorcycles would be used for the SPPG in hard-to-reach areas. "We will distribute them for the operation of all people in the SPPG, especially in difficult areas," said Dadan.

At present, Dadan is no longer the Head of BGN. Besides Andri Mulyono, Dadan, along with two former deputies, retired Police Inspector General Sony Sonjaya and retired Army Lieutenant General Lodewyk Pusung, have been named as suspects. In addition, Asep Yusuf Somantri has also become a suspect in this case.
