TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Chief of TNI (Indonesian National Armed Forces) General Agus Subianto, has prepared 66,714 personnel to assist the Eid homecoming traffic in 2025. "Some will stand by at their units to respond if a natural disaster occurs, to provide assistance to the community," he said in his official statement during his visit to the Eid exodus rest area at KM 57 Cikampek Main Toll Road, West Java, together with the Chief of the Indonesian National Police (Kapolri) General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, on Wednesday, March 26, 2025.
The Chief of TNI, along with Kapolri and the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture, Pratikno, also conducted aerial patrols to monitor the Eid homecoming. They flew in a TNI Super Puma helicopter.
Starting on Wednesday, the police began implementing traffic engineering on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road to anticipate the density of the Eid exodus in 2025. "Today, we have started implementing traffic engineering, whether it's a contraflow implemented on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road from kilometer 47 to 70," said the Chief of the Indonesian National Police (Kapolri) General Listyo Sigit Prabowo in his written statement.
If a one-way traffic engineering system is needed in the future, the police will implement it. However, the one-way system will only be implemented when the number of vehicles passing exceeds 8,000 units per hour. If the number of passing vehicles is still below that, the traffic engineering used will be a contraflow.
Sigit said that information regarding changes in traffic can be obtained through the Indonesian National Police's social media, as well as the mass media. According to the data he received, there has been a 7 percent increase in the number of vehicles from 10 days before Eid to 6 days before Eid.
