TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - On the second day of the Bloomberg New Economy Forum 2025 in Singapore on Thursday, November 20, 2025, former Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) met with former Prime Minister of Singapore Lee Hsien Loong. Their meeting took place at the Raffles Hotel in Singapore.
Jokowi's aide, Commissioner Syarif Muhammad Fitriansyah, confirmed that a meeting between Jokowi and Lee Hsien Loong today. "Bapak Joko Widodo met with Singapore's Senior Minister, Lee Hsien Loong, this morning at the Raffles Hotel, Singapore," said Syarif through a message sent via WhatsApp to journalists in Solo, Central Java.
Syarif revealed that the meeting was warm. He mentioned that the two leaders seemed to enjoy breakfast together. "The meeting was warm, and it seemed that they were both enjoying breakfast together," wrote Syarif.
Jokowi's participation in this international forum also marks his role as a member of the Bloomberg New Economy Advisory Council. According to the plan, Jokowi will deliver a speech at the Bloomberg New Economy 2025 forum on Friday, November 21, 2025. Syarif stated that the agenda is scheduled for 12:30 Singapore time.
"Bapak Jokowi is allowed to deliver a speech on Friday, at 12:30 Singapore time," said Syarif.
Previously, Jokowi also met with Jenny Johnson, the CEO of Franklin Templeton, on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, during the opening moment of the forum. "During the event, Bapak Jokowi also received an audience with the President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Franklin Templeton, Jenny Johnson," said Syarif.
In addition, Jokowi also had an audience with former United States Secretary of Commerce, Gina Marie Raimondo. "At the end of the first day of the Bloomberg New Economy Forum, Bapak Jokowi had an audience with Gina Marie Raimondo, former United States Secretary of Commerce," wrote Syarif.
Jokowi arrived in Singapore on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, to attend the Bloomberg New Economy Forum 2025. The series of events is scheduled for November 19-21, 2025.
