List of BGN Procurement Items Not Relevant to the MBG Program

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Three former leaders of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) are suspected of intervening with the Commitment Making Officer (PPK) regarding the procurement of goods and services from 2025 to 2026. As a result, several purchases of goods were made that were not actually needed for the implementation of the free nutritious meal (MBG) program.

"The procurement process of goods and services at the National Nutrition Agency is against the law,' said Director of Investigation of the Attorney General's Special Crimes Directorate at the Attorney General's Office, Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi, in a press conference on Wednesday, June 3, 2026.

The procurement mentioned includes electric motorcycles, shoes, tablets, and televisions. These purchases have become a public discussion on social media.

The Attorney General's Office has designated three individuals as suspects in the alleged corruption of the MBG program management at the BGN during the 2025-2026 period. They include the former Head of BGN Dadan Hindayana as well as his two former deputies, Retired Police Inspector General Sony Sonjaya and Retired Lieutenant General Lodewyk Pusung.

According to Syarief, the suspects' intervention caused the Procurement Work Reference (KAK) for goods and services at BGN to become incompatible with actual field needs. Not only that, Dadan and others' intervention also resulted in price inflation, or mark-up. "This has caused wastage and financial losses to the state," Syarief said.

However, the investigators have not disclosed the extent of the state's financial losses due to this corruption.

Here are the details of the procurement at BGN that did not comply with the regulations and involved mark-ups:

1. 21,801 electric motorcycles with a procurement value of Rp1 trillion

2. 32,000 pairs of shoes

3. 31,994 tablets

4. 5,400 75-inch televisions
