
TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and Russian President Vladimir Putin directly witnessed the exchange of several bilateral cooperation documents between the governments of Indonesia and Russia at the Konstantinovsky Palace in St. Petersburg on Thursday, June 19, 2025.
One of the memoranda of understanding pertained to cooperation between the Investment Management Agency for Renewable Energy Anagata Nusantara (Danantara) and the Joint Stock Company 'Management Company of Russian Direct Investment Fund' (RDIF).
According to the official statement from the Presidential Secretariat's Press, Media, and Information Bureau, all documents had been previously signed by relevant officials from both countries and were symbolically exchanged in front of the two heads of state.
The exchanged cooperation documents include:
1. MoU between the Indonesian Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology and the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education on cooperation in the field of higher education.
2. MoU between both countries' transportation ministries on cooperation in the transportation sector.
3. MoU between the Indonesian Ministry of Communication and Digital and the Russian Ministry of Digital Development, Communications, and Mass Media on cooperation in the field of digital development and mass media.
4. MoU between Indonesia's Danantara and Russia's RDIF.
Additionally, during the meeting, Putin and Prabowo also agreed on the "Strategic Partnership Declaration between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Indonesia."
On Thursday, June 19, 2025, Putin received Prabowo at the Konstantinovsky Palace in Saint Petersburg, Russia, during the latter's two-day state visit to Russia.
