Serbia Announces Halt to Arms Sales to Israel

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Serbia's President Aleksandar Vucic announced on Monday night that the country will halt ammunition sales to Israel amid the raging conflict between Israel and Iran.

As reported by Anadolu, Vucic acknowledged this decision despite the planned ammunition sales.

Speaking after a meeting with Serbia's General Staff Board, Aleksandar Vucic announced the plan while admitting that Serbia had been selling ammunition to Israel since the Gaza genocide began in October 2023.

Vucic emphasized that Serbia maintains friendly relations with both Israel and Iran and called for peace in the Middle East.

Regarding the recent United States' attacks on Iran, Vucic stated that international law had been violated, adding that rules and justice were nowhere to be found.

"How will the West lecture Russia or anyone else about territorial integrity? Everyone has violated these rules," Vucic said.

"The world is literally falling into chaos. Everyone is now behaving as if they have the right to attack everyone else. Madness has spread throughout the world. There is no one left to trust," the Serbian president added.
