BSI Gold Bank Booth at JIExpo Attracts Many Visitors Amid Falling Gold Prices

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The recent decline in gold prices has brought blessings to the gold tenants at the BSI International Expo 2025. Amid the hustle and bustle of visitors taking advantage of the long weekend, BSI's gold bank booth appeared to be crowded with people who wanted to start investing in gold. Many of them came out of curiosity about the promos, while some were persuaded at branch offices but only decided after seeing it firsthand.

"It's really crowded right now," said Annisa Larasati, the product owner of the gold bank, when met at JIExpo on Saturday, June 28, 2025. She said that the declining gold prices were indeed utilized by the public to buy gold, both in cash and installment.

The gold bank offers two main products at this expo: BSI Gold through BYOND and Gold Installments. "If it's BSI gold through BYOND, the model is buying. For example, if a customer has money to buy 5 grams, they can buy 5 grams directly. The gold balance goes directly into the BYOND application," explained Annisa. For installment scheme, customers can pay installments for gold up to 100 grams with a tenor of 1-5 years and use a Sharia system with a murabahah contract.

BSI is trying to attract visitors' interest through various attractive promos in this BSI International expo. For a minimum purchase of 1 gram, customers will receive souvenirs and vouchers. Purchasing 10 grams will get an additional 0.1 gram of Hartadinata gold, and if buying up to 100 grams, visitors will take home a MAP voucher worth Rp200,000 and a bonus of 0.5 gram of Hartadinata gold. There is even a daily flash sale for only 15 minutes at certain times during this BSI International Expo."

"If you buy at certain times, a minimum of 5 grams will get a MAP voucher worth Rp500,000. Because it's only given 15 minutes," she said. The flash sale takes place every day at different times.

Not only that, for those who want to prepare for the hajj pilgrimage, BSI also offers installment promos that include 0% DP, hajj savings gifts, souvenirs, and additional gifts such as an oven toaster for purchases above 50 grams.

The decline in gold prices has indeed sparked enthusiasm. Annisa admitted that the world's geopolitical situation, including the war involving the United States a few months ago, caused the gold price to spike. "In April, the gold price spiked, almost Rp2 million per gram," she said.

However, she emphasized that historically, gold remains a profitable long-term investment instrument. "If you look at the gold price for the past 5 years, the gold price always goes up," said Annisa.

With a Sharia-based concept, flexible installment features, and enticing promos, the BSI International Expo is not only a place for shopping or financial education, but also the right moment to take small steps in gold investment - when the price is favorable.
