Indonesia Posts Rp1,400tn in Investment Realization by Q3 of 2025

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto claimed on Tuesday, October 7, 20205, that Indonesia's investment realization until the third quarter of 2025 has reached the target of around Rp1,400 trillion.

"I spoke with the Minister of Investment and Danantara CEO (Rosan Roeslani) yesterday, and the third quarter target was achieved, with around Rp1,400 trillion," Airlangga said. The target for investment realization by the end of the year is set at Rp1,905.6 trillion.

Airlangga also conveyed that the investment realization in the first semester of 2025 reached Rp942 trillion, a 13.6 percent growth year-on-year. According to Airlangga, investment plays a crucial role in economic growth as it is directly related to employment.

Minister Rosan Roeslani previously said that Indonesia requires an investment realization of Rp13,032.8 trillion by 2029 to achieve an 8 percent economic growth target. This figure is equivalent to 43 percent of the investment achievement over the past decade.

Rosan explained that President Prabowo Subianto has set an 8 percent growth target by the end of the next five-year period, which requires around 15.67 percent investment growth per year.

"Compared to Rp9,912 trillion during 2014-2024, the investment target for 2025-2029 is around 43 percent higher in just five years," Rosan said during a working meeting with Commission XII of the DPR on Thursday, September 4, 2025.
