TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian women's national team kicked off their campaign in the Qualification for the 2026 Asia Cup by defeating Kyrgyzstan 1-0 in the first match of Group D at the Indomilk Arena Stadium on Sunday night, June 29, 2025.
Playing at home, under the guidance of Satoru Mochizuki, the team started off aggressively. However, their attacks did not yield any results. Excellent performance by Kyrgyzstan's goalkeeper Dilnura Abibula Kyzy made it difficult for the Indonesian players to score.
Indonesian goalkeeper Iris Joska also put on a great performance, making saves to thwart Kyrgyzstan's attacks. The first 45 minutes ended with a goalless draw.
In the second half, Zahra Muzdalifah and Rosdilah were substituted. They were replaced by Reva Octaviani and Vivi Oktavia, who played as wing-backs.
The intensity of the attacks increased in the first 15 minutes of the second half. The attacks were more organized and not rushed. Finally, in the 66th minute, Indonesia managed to score a goal through Isa Guusje Warps, who tapped in a pass from Felicia De Zeuw.
After taking the lead, the Garuda Pertiwi squad sought to add another goal. They tried to build attacks to score an additional goal, but their efforts did not materialize. The score remained 1-0 in favor of Indonesia.
