Pertamina Reports Net Profit of US$3.13 Billion in 2024

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-owned energy company PT Pertamina reported a net profit of US$3.13 billion or around Rp 49.5 trillion for the 2024 fiscal year. "During that period, Pertamina also recorded a contribution of Rp 401.73 trillion to the state," said Pertamina's President Director Simon Aloysius Mantiri, in the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPS) 2024 Report Press Conference, quoted from a written statement on Saturday, June 14, 2025.

Simon stated that the contribution to the state includes taxes, non-tax state revenue, dividends, and domestic component absorption (TKDN) amounting to Rp 415 trillion. These figures make Pertamina the largest state-owned enterprise in terms of TKDN absorption.

According to Simon, the corporation's achievements throughout the year were also driven by improving public services and maintaining company growth. "Pertamina successfully optimized all business processes, thus maintaining solid financial performance," said Simon.

Furthermore, Simon stated that various efficiency and performance optimization programs also had a significant impact on the company's positive performance.

With the opportunities and potential it possesses, he is optimistic that Pertamina can accelerate the achievement of company targets and contribute to national energy resilience.

Meanwhile, Pertamina's Finance Director Emma Sri Martini said that Pertamina's Cost Optimization program contributed US$1.38 billion to Pertamina's financial performance.

She mentioned that Pertamina's financial report for the 2024 fiscal year also received an unqualified opinion in all material respects. According to her, this achievement shows Pertamina's strong corporate governance. "And Pertamina is seen favorably to gain trust from stakeholders and investors," she said.

She stated that Pertamina will continue to increase working capital amid global dynamics. She said Pertamina experienced a 4.3 percent growth in working capital in 2024 compared to the previous year. "From a financial ratio perspective, there has actually been an improvement."

She added that overall, Pertamina has shown good financial, group, and operational performance.
