BMKG Forecasts Afternoon Rain in Jakarta

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that the weather in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) will be mostly partly cloudy this morning, Friday, July 11, 2025. The chance of rain increases in the afternoon and evening.

Based on the latest BMKG weather forecast, only Kepulauan Seribu has the possibility of light rain at 07:00 AM WIB (Indonesia Western Time). Most areas in West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, South Jakarta, and East Jakarta are still partly cloudy this morning, but are likely to experience rain starting at 04:00 PM WIB. Meanwhile, the sky in North Jakarta will tend to be mostly partly cloudy.

The predicted temperature range in Jakarta throughout the day is 24-31 degrees Celsius. The highest wind speed is around 15 kilometers per hour.

In the West Java region, light to moderate rain is likely to fall over most of Bogor Regency from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. WIB later today. Meanwhile, light rain is expected in Bogor, Depok, and Bekasi at 4:00 p.m. WIB.

The BMKG team predicts that Bekasi Regency will be mostly overcast throughout the day. The temperature in Bogor, Depok, and Bekasi is expected to range from 19 to 33 degrees Celsius.

Unlike other areas in Jabodetabek, the weather in both Tangerang Regency and Tangerang City is expected to be partly cloudy. South Tangerang City has the potential for light afternoon rain. The average daily temperature in the three areas of Banten included in Jabodetabek is 24 to 32 degrees Celsius.
