TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The draw for the Round of 16 in the Champions League 2025/2026 has resulted in some big matches. Paris Saint-Germain will face Chelsea, while Real Madrid will meet Manchester City. The draw took place in Nyon, Switzerland, on Friday, February 27, 2026.

PSG is scheduled to host the first leg against Chelsea at Parc des Princes, Paris, on March 10 or 11, 2026. The second leg will be held on March 17 or 18, 2026, at Stamford Bridge, London.

As the defending champions, PSG is ambitious to retain the title and continue last season's positive trend. On the other hand, Chelsea is seeking to win the Champions League trophy again after last winning it in the 2020/2021 season. This encounter is also a rematch of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup final. Back then, Chelsea convincingly beat PSG 3-0 and claimed the world title.

Another big match will see Real Madrid taking on Manchester City. Madrid will host City at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium on March 10 or 11, 2026, before visiting the Etihad Stadium a week later.

In recent seasons, the two teams have often faced each other in the knockout stages of the Champions League, with both teams securing victories. Last season, Real Madrid eliminated Manchester City in the Round of 16 playoffs with an aggregate score of 6-3.

Manchester City is aiming to replicate their success in the 2022/2023 season when they eliminated Madrid in the semifinals before eventually becoming champions by defeating Inter Milan in the final.

In addition to these two matches, the Round of 16 also presents several other interesting fixtures, including Galatasaray against Liverpool, Atalanta versus Bayern Munich, Newcastle United versus Barcelona, and Bayer Leverkusen against Arsenal.
