Indonesian Girl Group No Na Revives 'Om Telolet Om' in New Single 'honk!'

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian girl group no na has released a new single titled "honk!" on digital music platforms.

The song is part of the group's debut album, "Island Girl," scheduled for release in September under the 88rising record label.

In a Billboard Philippines report on Friday, July 31, 2026, no na reportedly referenced the 2016 viral trend, "Om Telolet Om," (Honk the horn, uncle) in their promotional material for "Honk!".

The reference to the local trend was made directly by no na through a teaser and the official music video for the single "honk!".

The "Om Telolet Om" trend itself is a social media phenomenon that refers to asking bus drivers to honk their horns.

The phenomenon began with videos of children in Indonesia cheering as buses with modified horns passed by, followed by other videos showing crowds holding pieces of paper and shouting the request.

The launch of "honk!" This marks the next step for the group no na in introducing Indonesian culture to the global music scene throughout 2026.

Previously, the group released the single "Work" in March, which explores the theme of working hard to achieve dreams, and the up-tempo song "Rollerblade," which celebrates freedom and enjoying the waves of life.

All three singles are reportedly included on the album "Island Girl," which contains a total of 15 tracks.
