Lisa BLACKPINK to Make Netflix Debut in Documentary Series 'Hitmakers'

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - After capturing public attention with her acting debut in season 3 of The White Lotus, Lalisa Manobal or Lisa BLACKPINK is stepping into the limelight once again. She will appear in the latest Netflix documentary series titled Hitmakers, which will air on Thursday, July 24, 2025.

However, unlike in The White Lotus, Lisa will appear in Hitmakers as an artist, not an actress. She's one of the artists chosen to be given a song from an international songwriting camp, which is a unique highlight despite her short screen time.

Netflix Debut

As reported by Allkpop, Hitmakers consists of six episodes. The series showcases the best songwriters and producers working to create new songs for global artists, including John Legend and Lisa BLACKPINK, in a prestigious music camp.

The first teaser of Hitmakers, released on June 25, immediately stirs global interest. Despite only appearing for a few seconds, Lisa's charm successfully captured the attention of fans worldwide and sparked great enthusiasm on social media.

"Follow twelve of the industry's best songwriters and producers at real high-stakes writing camps as they work to create hits for stars like John Legend, Shaboozey, and LISA," wrote Netflix on X.

This documentary series is not just a music collaboration but a deep portrait of the dynamics behind songwriting camps. In an environment that demands creativity and speed, participants strive to create songs for the world's top musicians. The series also shows how the process is filled with emotional pressure, creative chaos, and the participants' proud achievements.

Lisa's Solo Career Journey

Although still a member of the group BLACKPINK, Lisa is now signed to a new label. In early 2024, she took the major step of establishing an independent label called LLOUD.

Through LLOUD, Lisa not only releases her solo music works but also expands her influence into the global acting and fashion. As reported by Pinkvilla, Lisa's appearance in the first teaser of Hitmakers was welcomed enthusiastically by the public on social media. This reflects strong support for Lisa's evolving solo career.

Solo Career Shines, but Group Keeps Pace

Lisa remains an active member of BLACKPINK, even as she actively pursues her solo career. As the four members begin to explore their respective fields, from music to acting and fashion, their identity as a group is never discarded.

Lisa, along with the other three BLACKPINK members, will reunite with plans to embark on a world tour scheduled for November 2025. This tour not only signifies that they remain solid as a group but also serves as an appreciation and gift to the fans who have faithfully awaited their reunion.
