2. Landslide Hits Mount Bromo Route, 7 Motorcycles Buried

A landslide occurred at the Kedaluh Hill or Kingkong Hill Viewpoint on Mount Bromo in the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park (BB TNBTS) area, East Java, Indonesia, on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. Seven motorcycles were buried by the landslide, but there were no fatalities.

Endrip Wahyutama, spokesperson for the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park, said that seven motorcycles were buried in the incident, but there were no fatalities. "The buried motorcycles belonged to tourism operators," he said. Five motorcycles were successfully evacuated from the landslide, while two others remain buried under the ground.
