TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - American digital company and internet service provider Ookla regularly publishes an annual report called the Speedtest Global Index, which serves as a reference for measuring internet speeds in countries around the world.

According to Data Pandas, Singapore has long made substantial investments in digital infrastructure. This includes the development of the Next Generation Nationwide Broadband Network (Next Gen NBN), which offers open access at competitive prices with speeds of up to 1 Gbps.

In addition, the Singapore government, through the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), has allocated up to S$100 million to upgrade the network to 10 Gbps by 2028.

France ranked second with an average speed of 315.38 Mbps, followed by the United Arab Emirates at 314.49 Mbps. Hong Kong placed fourth with 310.24 Mbps.
