TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian airline AirAsia has announced that all domestic flights will be moved from Terminal 1A to Terminal 2E at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport starting from October 26, 2025.
The Acting CEO of Indonesia AirAsia, Captain Achmad Sadikin Abdurachman, stated that the operational transfer of the airline is aimed at providing better convenience for passengers and improving the airline's operational efficiency.
"The move to Terminal 2E is intended to allow passengers to enjoy more comprehensive facilities and easier access, especially for those connecting to international flights through Terminal 2F or vice versa," said Achmad on Tuesday, October 21, 2025.
Meanwhile, all international flights of Indonesia AirAsia will continue to operate at Terminal 2F without changes.
Support for the Move to Terminal 2E
To ensure a smooth and well-organized transition process, Indonesia AirAsia has prepared several support measures. They have stationed Indonesia AirAsia teams at Terminal 1A and Terminal 2E to assist passengers in locating the new departure and arrival areas.
Throughout the transition period, staff will actively provide guidance and information on the ground to ensure passenger comfort is maintained. In addition, to facilitate passengers who may still be heading to the previous terminal, AirAsia also provides free shuttle services operating every 15 minutes from Terminal 1A to Terminal 2E.
"This transfer is part of Indonesia AirAsia's commitment to continuously improve the quality of service and provide a better travel experience for all passengers," said Achmad.
Indonesia AirAsia also urges all passengers to check the latest information on departure and arrival terminals via email, SMS, or the Airasia MOVE app (formerly AirAsia Superapp) and reprint their boarding passes before departure. Passengers are also advised to arrive at the airport at least three hours before the scheduled flight to ensure sufficient time for the check-in process at the counter.
