Medco Energi Injects Rp2.4 Trillion in Capital to Subsidiary

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Medco Energi International Tbk (MEDC) announced that the company has provided a loan of US$150 million, approximately Rp2.4 trillion (at an exchange rate of Rp16,306), to its subsidiary, PT Mitra Energi Pelayaran. The transaction took place on July 3, 2025.

MEDC's Corporate Secretary, Siendy K. Wisandana, stated that this interest-free loan remains effective until fully repaid upon the company's request. Siendy said in a disclosure to the Indonesia Stock Exchange on Monday, July 7, 2025.

Siendy mentioned that there are no material impacts or facts from this loan agreement on the business continuity or financial condition of Medco Energi.

On May 15, 2025, Medco Energi also injected Rp33 billion into its subsidiary, PT Satria Raksa Buminusa (SRB). The loan to the security and consulting service company is valid until July 31, 2027, without interest.

In addition to providing the loan, Medco Energi previously received a credit facility from Medco Cypress Tree Pte. Ltd. worth US$373.6 million, approximately Rp6.07 billion. This affiliated transaction took place on June 10, 2025.

The loan will be used to pay off two senior notes offerings of US$650 million with 7.375 percent interest maturing in 2026 and US$650 million with 6.375 percent interest maturing in 2027. "Issued by Medco Oak Tree Pte Ltd and Medco Bell Pte Ltd," as mentioned in the disclosure to the Indonesia Stock Exchange on Sunday, June 15, 2025.
