TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia’s state-owned fuel distributor PT Pertamina Patra Niaga has lowered prices for several non-subsidized fuel products, including Pertamax Turbo, Pertamax Green 95, and Pertamax (RON 92), effective August 1, 2026.

Pertamina Patra Niaga Vice President of Corporate Communication Kitty Andhora said the periodic price adjustment was made by taking into account global oil prices and the rupiah exchange rate.

The company said the adjustment followed government regulations while also considering public purchasing power.

"This step is also part of efforts to ensure the availability of national fuel supplies for the public," Kitty said in an official statement on Saturday, August 1, 2026.

Pertamax Prices Reduced

Data from Pertamina Patra Niaga showed that prices for three non-subsidized fuel products were reduced, while two other products remained unchanged.

The price of Pertamax Turbo was cut by Rp1,000 per liter, from Rp19,300 to Rp18,300 per liter.

Meanwhile, Pertamax Green 95 saw a reduction of Rp400 per liter, from Rp17,000 to Rp16,600 per liter.

The price of Pertamax (RON 92) was lowered by Rp300 per liter, from Rp16,250 to Rp15,950 per liter.

Meanwhile, prices for Pertamina Dex and Dexlite remained unchanged at Rp21,150 per liter and Rp19,700 per liter, respectively.

Pertamina said the latest prices apply to regions with a 5 percent Motor Vehicle Fuel Tax (PBBKB), including Jakarta.

Fuel Prices Previously Increased Amid Oil Price Surge

The latest adjustment followed a series of fuel price increases earlier in 2026.

Pertamina raised the prices of Pertamax Turbo, Dexlite, and Pertamina Dex on April 18, 2026. The company later increased prices for Pertamax Green 95 and Pertamax (RON 92) in June 2026.

The increases came amid a surge in global oil prices triggered by heightened tensions in the Middle East.

Since March 2026, global crude oil prices have fluctuated and at times exceeded US$100 per barrel. By the end of July 2026, prices had eased to around US$88 per barrel.
