Prabowo Holds Limited Meeting with Ministers to Discuss Various Key Issues

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto held a closed video conference meeting with several members of his cabinet, along with Gita Amperiawan, CEO of PT Dirgantara Indonesia, and Sigit Puji Santosa, CEO of PT Pindad, on Sunday, June 29, 2025.

"After a working visit in Karawang Regency last Sunday evening, June 29, 2025, President Prabowo Subianto held a closed meeting with several members of the Red and White Cabinet through a video conference," Teddy said.

Teddy did not specify which ministers were present but noted that the two-hour meeting covered various issues.

"The closed meeting, which began at 7:30 PM Jakarta time and lasted for two hours, discussed various developments and strategic government measures across fields such as agriculture, marine affairs, higher education and science, investment, global conditions, and maritime and aviation," he detailed.

Earlier on Sunday, June 29, Prabowo inaugurated the groundbreaking for the Electric Vehicle Battery Industry Ecosystem Project in Karawang, West Java.

This project is a strategic, upstream-to-downstream initiative for the electric battery industry, comprising six integrated sub-projects. It is a joint development by PT Aneka Tambang Tbk. (ANTAM), Indonesia Battery Corporation (IBC), and the CATL, Brunp, and Lygend (CBL) Consortium. Of the six projects, five are located in East Halmahera, North Maluku, with one situated in Karawang.

Prabowo described the project as historical and strategically significant. He asserted that this groundbreaking demonstrates the government's commitment to collaborating with partners, specifically China, on such ventures.

"We are collaborating on a project that, in my opinion, is colossal. It can be said that this is an extraordinary breakthrough," Prabowo said in his speech.
