TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Iranian authorities said on Monday, June 30, 2025, that at least 935 people were killed in Israeli attacks during the 12-day conflict with Israel.
The death toll includes 132 women and 38 children, said spokesperson for the Judiciary, Asghar Jahangir, in a statement quoted by the semi-official Tasnim news agency, as reported by Anadolu.
The Ministry of Health had previously stated that the death toll from Israeli attacks had reached 606 people, with 5,332 injured.
Jahangir said that the Israeli attack on Evin Prison in northwest Tehran had killed 79 people, including detainees, staff members, and residents living nearby.
Evin Prison can no longer be operated, and the detainees were evacuated, he said, referring to the attack as a "blatant violation of the basic human rights and international resolutions."
The conflict between Israel and Iran erupted on June 13, when Tel Aviv launched an airstrike on Iranian military, nuclear, and civilian locations.
The U.S. also bombed Iran's nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan in an escalation of the conflict.
Tehran launched retaliatory missile and drone attacks against Israel, killing at least 29 people and injuring more than 3,400, according to figures released by the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
The conflict halted under a U.S.-sponsored ceasefire that took effect on June 24.
