Prabowo Marks Wisma Danantara's Presence with Tumpeng Ceremony

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto visited the new office of Indonesia's Danantara Investment Management Agency at Jalan Gatot Subroto Kav. 36-38, South Jakarta, on Monday, June 30, 2025. During his visit, Prabowo conducted a tumpeng (cone-shaped rice dish) cutting ceremony to commemorate the presence of the new building named Wisma Danantara Indonesia.

In a photo shared on the Instagram account @presidenrepublikindonesia, Prabowo is seen performing a celebratory ritual by cutting the tumpeng to mark the presence of the new office. In that moment, Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Danantara executives, and the Merah Putih (Red and White) Cabinet members were also present.

"The President, accompanied by the Vice President and the executives of Danantara, as well as the ministers of the Merah Putih Cabinet, visited Wisma Danantara Indonesia, which will become the future office of the Danantara Investment Management Agency," Prabowo wrote on the account.

Prabowo expressed his hope that Danantara will continue to grow and develop as a reliable state wealth management fund. "It is capable of driving the financing of various national strategic projects and providing significant benefits for the improvement of the welfare of all Indonesian people," he said.

Prior to this, the Chief Executive Officer of the Danantara Investment Management Agency, Rosan Roeslani, stated that the agency has total assets of approximately US$900 million or around Rp15 quadrillion. "Which is about close to Rp15,000 trillion if you're combining all the assets," said Rosan during a discussion session broadcast on the YouTube channel Kabar Bursa, on Friday, June 13, 2025.

Rosan mentioned that the assets originate from state-owned enterprises (SOEs). Up to this point, Rosan stated that Danantara has been managing assets from 889 companies, including banks, PLN (state electricity company), Telkom (telecommunications company), and Pertamina (state-owned oil and natural gas corporation). "From ports, airports, seaports, everything now falls in our book into Danantara," he said.

The former Deputy Minister of State-Owned Enterprises revealed that Danantara does not use state capital injections (PMN) or state budget (APBN) as their source of funds, but relies on dividends instead. "So far, these dividends have been distributed to the state, but now we can manage them for our return." Rosan also set a target for Danantara to earn at least 10 percent in profits. "But that is not the only criterion for our investments," he said.

Rosan stated that Danantara will gradually receive around US$7 million in dividends this year. He mentioned that the funds will be used to create jobs. "This will not only increase our role in economic growth, but also definitely create high-quality job opportunities."
